Today's featured Etsy shop... Frosted So Sweet

My name is Cassandra and my Etsy shop is Frosted So Sweet.

When did you start your Etsy shop?
I opened my shop in August 2012. Beforehand, I sold my items in my mom’s shop, EmsJewelry.

What is the story behind your business name?
Frost Me Sweet, a bistro in my hometown, is one of my favorite places to get a sandwich and some lemonade. They make really cute and delicious cupcakes, too, and this inspired the name for my shop.

What do you sell?
I sell polymer clay miniature food jewelry, mostly earrings. Cupcakes, pickles, bomb pops, carrots—you name it. I also sell handmade scrunchies, colorful gumball earrings, bracelets, and shrink plastic stud earrings with animals character illustrations.

How did you get into your craft?
My mom is a very crafty person, so I grew up in a creative environment. I first started using polymer clay three years ago after my mom purchased a miniature food instruction book for me.

Anything else you would like to share?
I recently graduated with a BA in English writing. I also enjoy drawing animals.

Today's featured Etsy shop... Darla Jane's

My name is Karen, and I own Darla Jane's on Etsy. We just opened in January, so while the store is brand new on Etsy, I am not. I've had a store for childrens' shirts since 2006 called The Rocking Pony.

Darla Jane's was a result of raising puppies for nearly 15 years, and all the new owners excitedly telling me that they just bought so many things for their new puppy. I realized that I sew for kids, so it was time to start sewing for the dogs!

We carry dog coats, collars and leashes, collar accessories such as bows and flowers (and a mustache!), durable toys and beds. We have some things for the people, too, such as note cards and wall art featuring dogs. Of course! All our products are tested on our pack of 4 french bulldogs. If it gets the 4-paws up test from them, it's definitely a winner.

The store is named after our favorite brindle frenchie, Darla. She's our chief clothing wearer and at my feet no matter what I'm doing. I have so much planned for the store in the upcoming year so keep checking back to see what I've come up with next!

Today's featured Etsy shop... Harp Strings

My name is Lisa Harp and my shop is Harp Strings. I have had an antique shop by this name for almost 25 years! I am originally from Louisiana and relocated to Nebraska 2 years ago.

I started hand stamping then and have evolved my look into what you see today....combined my love of antiques with my love of WORDS. I use vintage/antique buttons, jewelry and keys to adorn my pieces and USA made aluminum or vintage silver plated spoons to stamp on.

I love the one of a kind result combined with knowing I have rescued and repurposed a treasure from the past!
