Welcome to Gone to the Dogs!
Welcome to Gone to the Dogs! We offer crocheted toys in the shape of stars and ticks. The star dog toys have tennis balls inside and for the ticks you can add a rattle, bell, or squeaker to the toy or it can be done with just stuffing. Keep coming back every day because our shop is constantly changing what is available based on what I crochet. You can also come visit us at the Downtown Dalton Saturday Market or in Calhoun at the Thursday Market by Piggly Wiggly during the summer season.

My goal for Christmas 2014 is to compile a photo book
for both my daughters. I hope you enjoy the

Today's featured Etsy shop... Little Ladies Things

My name is Jen. My shop name is Little Ladies Things. I have had my shop for a couple years, but finally got it up and running in October of 2013. I chose my shop name on the premise that I wanted to have something that didn't limit me to one item/craft.

Most items in my shop relate to 18" dolls or little girls (I have tutus and hair accessories that I haven't uploaded yet). I sell 18" doll tutus, tutu dresses, sleeping bags, and accessories. Some of the accessories include scarves, headbands, tights, etc.

My thought is to expand into doll clothing as well. I want to see where this takes me before I take on more. I started this line of crafts when my two girls needed some dress up clothes and costumes. When they received American Girl dolls one Christmas, I started making tutus for the dolls and here we are!

I love crafting! I am a stay at home mom. When I started getting positive feedback from my family and friends, I decided to open my etsy shop and see where this takes me.

Today's featured Etsy shop... Freshwater Perle Designs

Hello, my name is Kerry, and I am creator and owner of Freshwater Perle Designs. I have always loved jewelry, and started creating my own, over 30 years ago. I am also a licensed cosmetologist, and worked as a makeup artist and aesthetician, for many years. I have always had a love for anything art related, and through Etsy, was finally able to realize my dream of having a place to showcase my jewelry creations!

Another love of mine, is antiques, and vintage items, particularly jewelry. I add some of my favorite vintage jewelry finds to my shop, as I come across them, so be sure to stop by often, to see what's new! All handmade items are created by me, and one of a kind, and all photography is done by me as well.

You will notice a nature theme, pretty much throughout my shop, as I have always loved the outdoors, and anything to do with the ocean, trees, flowers, and such. I also take custom orders, so if there is something that you have in mind, but don't see, in my shop, send me a message!

Today's featured Etsy shop... Harp Strings

My name is Lisa Harp and my shop is Harp Strings. I have only been on Etsy about 6 weeks but have had an antique shop by this name for almost 25 years! I am originally from Louisiana and relocated to Nebraska 2 years ago. I started hand stamping then and have evolved my look into what you see today....combined my love of antiques with my love of WORDS. I use vintage/antique buttons, jewelry and keys to adorn my pieces and USA made aluminum or vintage silver plated spoons to stamp on. I love the one of a kind result combined with knowing I have rescued and repurposed a treasure from the past!
Did you know that buttons were invented a thousand years ago? The first buttons had no function, they were designed to just hang on clothes as decoration. With this in mind, Harp Strings adorns jewelry with these rescued treasures so they can once again just hang and look pretty!

Today's featured Etsy shop... Pamela Jones Art Studio

My name is Pamela and my Etsy shop is Pamela Jones Art Studio.

When did you start your Etsy shop?
September 2012

What is the story behind your business name?
I use my own name because past customers can find me.

What do you sell?
Original watercolours, watercolour prints and art cards

How did you get into your craft?
I have painted since I was very young, just kept on doing it. I paint landscapes and seascapes of Wales England Scotland Ireland and France and Italy. I have a slightly impressionistic style, staying away from the photographic copying of a scene, colour harmony is important. I simplify a scene. I feel the artist must balance skill and imagination....a painting without any imagination has no feeling...I hope the viewer feels this when viewing the paintings......

Today's featured Etsy shop... The Hippie Bohemian

My name is Kris and my Etsy shop is The Hippie Bohemian.

When did you start your Etsy shop?

July 21, 2012

What is the story behind your business name?

I originally started a team on Etsy with this name and I was immediately sorry I hadn't thought of that name for my shop. It just fit so well - it felt right. So I changed the name of the team and renamed my shop.

What do you sell?

I sell personally designed and hand crafted bohemian and hippie jewelry. Much of my jewelry is made using all natural materials including seeds, nuts, bone etc. I also have a signature line of replica jewelry called ROCKwear. These are replications of jewelry worn by rock 'n roll greats of the 60's and 70's including Jim Morrison, Janis Joplin, Robert Plant and more.

How did you get into your craft?

Trial and error. I love the look and feel of beads and I wanted to make jewelry that I could wear that would fit my bohemian style. It grew from there.

Anything else you would like to share?

I have always been a free spirit, drawn to the hippie bohemian lifestyle, fashion and design. I am a self taught artist and I've made this my full time job. I strive to live a creative life, seeking inspiration through music I love and in my ever changing surroundings. I put everything I have into each detail of every piece because I believe that creating something beautifully unique is an uplifting experience for my customer. I believe that handmade jewelry is collaborative; connecting the maker with the person who chooses the piece that directly speaks to them. Designing jewelry is similar to embarking on an exciting journey; gathering quality materials, playing with color combinations, introducing various textures and then bringing the pieces together precisely and carefully so that in the end you are presented with a piece of art with which you are immediately smitten.

Today's featured Etsy shop... Buzy Bee Blooms

My name is Deborah and my Etsy shop is Buzy Bee Blooms.

When did you start your Etsy shop?
November 2013

What is the story behind your business name?
The meaning of Deborah is Busy Bee. Deborah was also in the Bible.

What do you sell?
I specialize in hand painted glass plate flowers that can be hung as a sun catcher.

How did you get into your craft?
Creating beauty was born in me I have always wanted to clean, decorate, and make things beautiful.

Anything else you would like to share?
Anything else you would like to share? In January of 2013 I had a heart attack and was in the hospital for 17 days. After rehab and gaining some strength, I couldn't do much, but I could sit in a chair and paint. I was making all sorts of beautiful things. I began to look around and wondered why I was making all these things and what was I going to do with them.

Then it came to me, that beauty comes in many different forms. The Lord didn't have to create all the colorful and majestic things that He made. Some of His creations man has never even seen. He made them for His own pleasure.

That's why I make my things, for my own pleasure.

I hope that my creations will inspire others to be content and enjoy beauty just for their own pleasure.
